Ballistic magnetotransport in graphene

چکیده

We report that a perpendicular magnetic field introduces an anomalous interaction correction, $\delta \sigma$, to the static conductivity of doped graphene in ballistic regime. The correction implies magnetoresistance, \rho_{xx}$ scales inversely with temperature \rho_{xx}(T) \propto 1/T$ parametrically large interval. When disorder is scalar-like, $\propto behavior leading contribution crossover between diffusive regime exhibiting weak localization and quantum magnetooscillations. originates from field-induced breaking chiral symmetry Dirac electrons around single valley. result specific for generic two-dimensional materials which deviate half-filling. conclude by proposing magnetotransport experiments, have capacity detect nature impurities defects high-mobility monolayers such as recently fabricated samples.

Relativistic magnetotransport in graphene

We study the thermal and electric transport of a fluid of interacting Dirac fermions as they arise in single-layer graphene. We include Coulomb interactions, a dilute density of charged impurities and the presence of a magnetic field to describe both the static and the low frequency response as a function of temperature T and chemical potential μ . In the critical regime μ . T where both bands ...

Magnetotransport in high mobility epitaxial graphene

Epitaxial graphene layers grown on single-crystal SiC have large structural coherence domains and can be easily patterned into submicron structures using standard microelectronics lithography techniques. Patterned structures show two-dimensional electron gas properties with mobilities exceeding 3 m2/Vs. Magnetotransport measurements (Shubnikov–de Haas oscillations) indicate that the transport p...

Suppression of magnetotransport in strongly disordered graphene.

A tight-binding model with randomly fluctuating atomic positions is studied to discuss the effect of strong disorder in graphene. We employ a strong-disorder expansion for the transport quantities and find a diffusive behavior, where the conductivity is decreasing with increasing disorder. For sufficiently strong disorder the magnetic field drops out of the diffusion coefficient and the conduct...
